A little bit about me/ my style
and why wedding photography is important to me.
Let me Tell Your Love Story
I have been fully pursuing photography for five years now, and it has been an absolute whirlwind. I could not have even imagined how much joy this passion of mine would bring, nor did I ever think I could make this into more than an odd hobby. You can check out some of my full galleries here!
So far, I have had amazing friends that have trusted me to capture their special moments, and I have also met some new wonderful people. I think all in all that is the best part of this job. I love the creative aspect, but I also love the people. I love that this brings everyone together and lets me meet some truly amazing human beings that I would have never met otherwise. I get to capture stories of love and capture a person’s uniqueness and there is just nothing like it.
Quick Facts about me
I loveeeeee gardening. Like full on vegetable garden every year, and I’ve started flower gardening. I have soooooo many flower seeds that I am dying to plant in the spring.
I want to be friends with every dog that I meet. (So if you have a dog please include them in your session.)
When I travel I try to go to local coffee shops. I have a collection of coffee shop t-shirts, and they are my favorite.
I enjoy basically any kind of hands-on activity. I play around with stained glass and jewelry making in my spare time, and I’m always willing to try new creative outlets.
My biggest passion is photography. I fell in love with it in high school but managed to lose track of my passion during college. Once I picked my camera back up I knew that I wanted to pursue photography.
Why wedding photography matters
In reality this doesn’t just pertain to wedding photography, but all photography in general. It’s the art of capturing a moment in time. Being able to look back at a moment through a picture could mean the world one day. Whether it’s because you are sharing that memory with someone new, or passing on your wedding photos to your children, or just taking a day and looking back to relive that joy. It’s all meaningful. And I’m there to capture it all. All the laughs, all the tears, the happy dances, and crazy screams. The nerves and the excitement. My job is to be there for it all. Your job is to live in the moment and create those memories!
My Style
My style is a little on the darker side. You’ll notice that my images really lean into deep greens and darker colors. Lighter and pastel colors aren’t as frequent in my coloring and photos.
My posing style is also a little creative. It’s posed candid with a splash of documentary. So, my job is to guide you into natural poses that flow throughout your day. This is to keep people from freezing up (which happens a lot when a camera is shoved in your face) and to make sure to capture ethe key moments. While also just being a fly on the wall and capturing things as they naturally happen.
“Olivia was absolutely fantastic!! She gave me and my fiance beautiful memories and we had such fun doing it!! I definitely recommend her to anyone!”
